For anyone who is interested in how technology is helping students today, there are a number of kids who are finding that they are not only benefiting highly from additional technology options in school but that they are able to accomplish a lot more when they are able to use multiple types of computers such as a desktop or all-in-one computer alongside a tablet computer and even a smart phone device. Some students are being encouraged to utilize an iPad app that allows them to read their textbooks on a tablet computer while they use a desktop at the same time to type up their assignments and study.
Although there has been some criticism of various schools who have decided to use so much technology in their classrooms, for some schools the amount of technology being used has been quite amazing as students are not only reading their textbooks in electronic form but are also utilizing multiple pieces of technology in a single classroom setting. This has led some schools to release statistics that suggest the inclusion of different technology options within a school has led to higher grades from some students who respond well to the use of technology in the classroom.
Apple has even gone so far as to recognize certain schools who utilize large amounts of technology in their school settings by labeling them as an Apple Distinguished School as the company is not only intent on having students use its products but would like to promote technology for use in learning as well.
